Announcing the Thriving on Overload book!

I am delighted to share that my book Thriving on Overload is being published by McGraw-Hill, and is available for pre-order for its availability on September 6, 2022.

Distilling a life’s lessons

I have shared on my blog some of the backstory and long path to this book.

I sometimes describe myself as an ‘infophile,’ a lover of information, and I know I’m not the only one. Through working in computer sales, international stockbroking, financial journalism, and eventually an executive role in financial publishing, I have been immersed in rapidly changing environments, seeking how to make sense of the world.

The initial offering of my first company, Advanced Human Technologies, which I established 25 years ago, was helping investment banks develop the information capabilities of their traders and researchers. Building on that, I applied the techniques and approaches I had learned to my work as a professional futurist, for over two decades improving my capacity to keep across the edge of change in an accelerating world.

In writing the book I worked hard to distil everything I have learned over the years into a set of principles that could readily be applied by anyone to transcend the overwhelm of excessive information and enable them to thrive.

The book launch and additional resources

The book will be available in U.S. bookstores on September 6, 2022, and given continuing supply chain problems, around 2 months later in other countries.

If you are at all interested, please pre-order the book from any of a range of booksellers in the U.S. and around the world. Pre-orders are the single most important factor helping the success of a book.

On this website we already have the Thriving on Overload podcast, including all the interviews done for the book and many more with extraordinary people, and the beginning of what will be a rich set of resources to help you thrive on overload.

If you’d like to keep posted on new resources, please sign up for our community email.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
